Ganin Tire Company, Inc., the Economic Development Corporation and the Department of Citywide Administrative Services submitted an application for a special permit, which would allow a portion of discontinued railroad right-of-way to be included in an area that will be used for parking, loading and storage. The site is located at 37th Street, between 14th and 15th avenues, in Brooklyn, and it will allow Ganin Tire to use the site for employee parking and as an unloading area.

The building will be located at 505 West 51st Street in Manhattan and will be used for residential purposes.
