NYC School Construction Authority Projected New Housing Starts as Used in 2012-2021 Enrollment Projection 2010-2014 Capital Plan
1. 2012 new housing starts is used to develop the capacity recommenation for the Proposed November 2010 Amendment. 2. Information on new housing starts is provided by Department of City Planning, Department of Buildings and Department of House Preservation and Development. New housing units include all projects that are either in process or scheduled to be constructed over the next five or ten years. Pupil contribution is estimated using the updated Projected Public School Ratio. The updated Projected Public School Ratio is developed utlizing the 2000 Census Data - Public Use Microdata Sample (5%). Ratios are calculated based on information for housing units built from 1990 to March 2000. Projected Public School Ratio will be incorporated in the City Enviornmental Quality Review manual.
