Electronic hailing allows a passenger to use TLC-licensed apps to hail a yellow taxicab or SHL without the need of the driver to physically see the passenger. The purpose of E-Hail is to pair passengers with drivers that may not have otherwise been able to see each other. The E-Hail pilot program was created to test the effectiveness of hailing a cab electronically through a cellphone app. As of March 2016, the E-Hail pilot became a license and was no longer a pilot.
Pursuant to LL124 of 2013, a report on the average time to conduct a safety and emissions inspection of a medallion taxi (hours:minutes) from the Taxi and Limousine Commission.
The purpose of this project is to address senior pedestrian safety issues in the Yorkville study area as part of the Department's Safe Streets for Seniors (SSS) Program.
As required by Local Law 21 of 2012, NYC DOT will install APS units at each corner of 25 additional intersections each year. This report is an update of where additional APSs were installed for 2013.
