Mayor Bill de Blasio announced today that NYC Census 2020, the City’s first-of-its-kind census outreach and engagement campaign, is investing more than $1.4 million in an unprecedented partnership with New York City’s three public library systems.
The Community of Interest Report 2023 outlines discussions regarding defined communities of interest in New York City, and how these communities are divided between neighborhoods. It is an analysis of changing demographics throughout the city and describes trends of population growth.
This analysis uses data derived from the Census Bureau to pinpoint the communities where disparities in internet access may reduce self-response rates to the Census and potentially result in an undercount.
The NYC Well-Being Index is designed to help understand the well-being of communities. It is a composite measure with nine domains: Education, Economic Security, Housing, Health, Community Safety, Infrastructure and Core Services, and Community Vitality, COVID-19 and Equity.
