Data from the Physical Activity and Transit Survey shows that higher neighborhood walkability is associated with greater physical activity. This report highlights data from the Community Health Survey on the prevalence of arthritis of the hip and knee among New Yorkers. Comorbid factors, such as chronic conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure, are also discussed. In addition, the rate of physical activity among adults with arthritis is analyzed.
