The New York City Department of Sanitation will begin its annual curbside collection of
Christmas trees on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. Collection runs through Saturday, January 12,
weather permitting.

In observance of Presidents' Day, the New York City Department of Sanitation announced that there will not be garbage, organics nor recycling collection, or street cleaning, on Monday, February 18, 2019.
DSNY announced that starting tomorrow, the Department will begin enforcement of a city law requiring some larger restaurants, chain restaurants and grocery stores to separate their food waste from their trash, and ensure it's beneficially reused, not sent to a landfill.
