The Mayor of NYC establishes the Commission on Gender Equity. The Commission will consist of a Chair and no fewer than thirty members and one or more Honorary Members, all of whom will be appointed by the Mayor.
Mayor Adams establishes the M/WBE Advisory Committee to promote economic growth that ensures that city residents and businesses from all communities and backgrounds can participate in and contribute to the economy of the city.
The Office to Combat Domestic Violence will be known as and perform it's functions under the name of the Office to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence.
In order to increase MWBE utilization, the Mayor of New York City orders that all City Agencies shall procure goods, services, and construction from businesses certified as MWBEs.
Executive Order No. 26, dated February 14, 2023, is being submitted to establish and implement procedures to secure meaningful M/WBE participation to make NYC more equitable and inclusive business environment for all vendors, including M/WBEs to operate.
Executive Order No. 34, dated August 8th, 2023, is being submitted to Improve the City-Wide M/WBE Contracting Results. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
