Executive Order No. 29, dated, March 16, 2023, designation, there shall be six Deputy Mayors, a Chief Housing Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Efficiency Officer, Chief of Staff, Chief Advisor, Chief Counsel to the Mayor, Dir. of Intergovernmental; etc. order shall take effect immediately.
Executive Order No. 27 is being submitted by the power vested by the Mayor to appoint a Chief Public Realm Officer who will be reporting to the Deputy Mayor for Operations, dated February 16, 2023, effective immediately.
Pursuant to Admin Code Sect. 14-156, this quarterly report contains the non-desk appearance ticket rate for offenses for which 500 or more arrests were made. This report also contains the number of DATs issued in total and disaggregated by precinct, borough, race, gender, and age.
DSNY thanked the members of the NYC Council for last week’s passage of Resolution 55-A, calling on NY State to pass Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) into law this year. Currently, NYC residents pay hundreds of millions of dollars to have recyclable material transported and processed.
The NYPD has made efforts to civilianize a number of positions within various units in the agency, those efforts have not been systematic and have been delayed when compared to the NYPD’s own timetables.
