North Shore Public Participation Report - This is the report on public particiaption plan completion for the proposed Norh Shore Converted Marine Transfer Station.The North Shore PPP Report, prepared
in accordance with the Public Participation Plan approved for the project on March 8 2007 supports the NYSDEC permit process in connection with final permit applications submitted by DSNY for
North Shore Converted Marine Transfer Station.
Meeting objectives include providing briefing on the proposed East 91st Street Converted MTS and to explain the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation permit process.
In 2007, a new pilot program for public space recycling was implemented in selected NYC parks and transit hubs. This report looks at the potential for public space recycling to increase the City's waste diversion rate and considers the challenges to managing recycling programs in public spaces.
Greeley and Hansen Study of The Friends of the Hudson River Park Pier 76 Concept -The NYC Department of Sanitation requested that Greely and Hansen review and evaluate a proposal for the
development of a consolidated solid waste and recyclables transfer facility with a rooftop park on Pier 76 on the Hudson River at 36th street.
The City of New York must relocate its Sanitation District Garages and Salt Shed located at 2 Bloomfield Street and 427 Gansevoort Street as the Hudson River Park Act requires the removal
of these garage operations from this location.
