In accordance with the requirements of the New York State Municipal Assistance Corporation Act and the New York State Financial Emergency Act, the City of New York is required to submit monthly financial reports.
Includes a summary of the number and locations of fires caused by powered mobility devices, a review of existing provisions in the New York City Fire Code and the Administrative Code, and a summary of the actions taken by the FDNY to decrease the occurrence of fires caused by these devices.
Through partnerships with community groups, schools, and various city agencies, FDNY's fire safety education team coordinated/participated in in-person and virtual events during CY 2022 that provided awareness of general residential safety, placing an emphasis on targeting youth.
