The 2023 NYC Heat-Related Mortality Report is submitted pursuant to Local Law No. 84 of 2020. Heat contributes to the deaths of about 350 New Yorkers, on average, each year during the warm season of May through September. This report includes data about heat events and heat stress deaths.
As a condition of the funds in unit of appropriation numbers 102 and 112 in the DOHMH budget, DOHMH shall submit to the Council, a semi-annual report detailing the number of new infections of hepatitis, HIV, and tuberculosis.

The Supportive and Intensive Crises (Crisis Respite) Residences Report, pursuant to Local Law 118 of 2023, provides a status update on the establishment of crisis respite centers for quarter 2 of 2024. The Health Department currently contracts with four community-based organizations.
