DSNY has announced that in observance of Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23, 2023, there will be NO trash, curbside composting nor recycling collection on the holiday.
The New York City Department of Sanitation has announced guidance to City residents looking to dispose of their autumn leaves. Separating leaves and yard waste from the trash and other recycling allows them to be turned into renewable energy or compost, instead of decomposing in a landfill.
In an effort to offer efficient service and keep the City, clean, safe and healthy, and due to the rare calendar anomaly of two federal holidays falling within the same week, DSNY has announced modifications to its collection schedule for the week containing Election Day & Veteran's Day.
To all licensees and registrants: On Sunday, November 5, 2023, New York City will host its annual NYC Marathon and Family Reunion event. See below for a list of roadways that will be temporarily closed by the NYC Police Department for the event.
City residents wanting to dispose of potentially harmful household materials may do so at the DSNY’s Brooklyn SAFE (Solvents, Automotive, Flammables, and Electronics) Disposal event, to be held Sunday, October 29. The drop-off event will be at the Maimonides Park Surf Avenue Parking Lot.
City residents wanting to dispose of potentially harmful household materials may do so at the DSNY’s Staten Island SAFE (Solvents, Automotive, Flammables, and Electronics) Disposal event, to be held Saturday, October 21. The drop-off event will be at the Midland Beach Parking Lot, rain or shine.
City residents wanting to dispose of potentially harmful household materials may do so at the DSNY’s Manhattan SAFE (Solvents, Automotive, Flammables, and Electronics) Disposal event, to be held Sunday, October 15. The drop-off event will be at the Union Square, North Plaza, rain or shine.
To all BIC licensees: On a quarterly basis, you must submit to the Commission a customer register that includes all customers located in New York City.
