The Department of Correction and the Department of Homeless Services shall work to develop a process for identifying individuals who repeatedly are admitted to city correctional institutions and who, in addition, either immediately before their admission to or after their release.
Pursuant to local law 33 of 2016, this report provides information on security indicators in city jails for the previous quarter, including uses of force, assaults on staff and/or people in custody, and violent incidents, disaggregated by adults, young adults, and adolescents.
Pursuant to local law, this report provides information related to adolescents and young adults located in Department of Education facilities located in city jails that offer educational programming to incarcerated individuals.
Pursuant to Board of Correction minimum standard 5-40, this report, which evaluates sexual abuse and sexual harassment allegations made in city jails, analyzes emerging trends and assesses the corrective action contemplated and/or initiated at the facility level and department wide.
Pursuant to Local Law 23 of 2019, the Department is required to report on allegations of sexual abuse, sexual harassment, and interventions on visitors to Departmental facilities for cases that lasted longer than 90 days within the preceding six month period, (01/01/2019 – 06/30/2019).
