The 2023 NYC Heat-Related Mortality Report is submitted pursuant to Local Law No. 84 of 2020. Heat contributes to the deaths of about 350 New Yorkers, on average, each year during the warm season of May through September. This report includes data about heat events and heat stress deaths.
