The New York City Department of Sanitation announced that in observance of Presidents' Day, there will be no garbage, recycling, or organics collection, nor street cleaning on Monday, February 20, 2017. Residents who normally receive Monday trash, organics or recycling collection should place their material out at curbside after 4 p.m. on Monday, February 20 for pickup. The Department usually collects recyclables the week following the holiday, and this is a departure from our normal holiday service.
New York City's Department of Sanitation and Office of Emergency Management will host a press conference to discuss operational plans for dealing with the upcoming snowstorm.
