The New York City Department of Sanitation announced that in observance of the Lincoln’s Birthday holiday, there will be no trash, curbside composting or recycling collection on Saturday, February 12, 2022.

Due to the potential for ice accumulation and freezing conditions, the New York City Department of Sanitation has issued a Winter Operations Advisory for Friday, February 4th, beginning at 7:00 a.m.
A plan and a timeline for revocation of benefits under section 421-a of the real property tax law for each designated building for
which such department received, during the reporting period and requirements from the department of housing preservation, chapter 15 and 16 of title 26 of the code.

DSNY has issued a Snow Alert for Friday, January 28th, beginning at 4 p.m. The alert is in effect through all of Saturday and into Sunday morning. A Snow Alert is the Department’s “higher-level” winter weather message, as opposed to the “lower-level” Winter Operations Advisory.
Through partnerships with community groups, schools, and various city agencies, FDNY's fire safety education team coordinated/participated in in-person and virtual events during CY 2021 that provided awareness of general residential safety, placing an emphasis on targeting youth.
