Due to the possibility of light to moderate snow on Sunday followed by icy conditions Sunday night into Monday, the New York City Department of Sanitation has issued a Winter Operations Advisory for Sunday, February 13th, beginning at 12:00 a.m.
The New York City Department of Sanitation announced that in observance of the Lincoln’s Birthday holiday, there will be no trash, curbside composting or recycling collection on Saturday, February 12, 2022.

DSNY has issued a Snow Alert for Friday, January 28th, beginning at 4 p.m. The alert is in effect through all of Saturday and into Sunday morning. A Snow Alert is the Department’s “higher-level” winter weather message, as opposed to the “lower-level” Winter Operations Advisory.
Through partnerships with community groups, schools, and various city agencies, FDNY's fire safety education team coordinated/participated in in-person and virtual events during CY 2021 that provided awareness of general residential safety, placing an emphasis on targeting youth.
