It is located within the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal and is planned to be used as a materials recovery facility. Sims is also seeking to enter a contract with the Department of Sanitation to process and market source-separated recyclables delivered by the Department. It was determined that the proposed actions will not have a significant effect on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement will not be prepared.
