A report by the City Planning Commission (CPC) regarding the landmark designation of the New York Public Library George Bruce Branch by the Landmarks Preservation Commission on January 13, 2009 (Designation List No. 409/LP-2304), located at 518 West 125th Street (aka 518-520 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard), Community District 9, Manhattan. It was ultimately concluded that the subject landmark designation does not conflict with the Zoning Resolution or any projected improvements or plans for growth and development in the vicinity of the landmark.
A report by the City Planning Commission (CPC) regarding an application submitted by 145 West Street LLC pursuant to Sections 197-c and 201 of the New York City Charter for a special permit pursuant to Section 62-736 of the Zoning Resolution to modify the height and setback requirements of Section 62-354 to facilitate the development of a 39-story mixed use development with 640 dwelling units, 23,00 square feet of retail and community facility uses, and 22,000 square feet of waterfront public access area on an approximately 2.8-acre site in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Community District 1, Brooklyn. The request was ultimately approved by CPC subject to various terms and conditions (see N 090054 ZAK and N 090055 ZCK for applications filed concurrently with this one).
The Department of Parks and Recreation and the Department of Citywide Administrative Services submitted an application for the disposition of city-owned property in the Bronx. This property will be disposed to the Economic Development Corporation, who will then lease the parking lots to a parking lot operator. This application is part of a larger project (C 060059 MMX) to construct a new stadium for the New York Yankees.
Little Red House, LLC submitted an application for a special permit to modify the use regulations of the Zoning Resolution. This action will allow for the conversion of an existing building into a residential building. The building is located at 372 Broome Street in the Little Italy neighborhood of Manhattan and it will become a building with residential and commercial uses.
The Department of Citywide Administrative Services submitted an application for disposition of city-owned property to facilitate the development of a retail center in the Kingsbridge neighborhood of the Bronx. The applications, C 080014 MMX and C 090146 ZMX, are being considered concurrently with this application.
The Department of Housing Preservation and Development submitted an application for an Urban Development Action Area designation, project approval and disposition of city-owned property. This will facilitate the rehabilitation and conversion of an existing building from a school building to a residential and community building. The site is located on the north side of east 99th Street, bween Second and Third avenues, in the East Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan.
The Department of Housing Preservation and Development submitted an application for an Urban Development Action Area designation, project approval, and disposition of city-owned property. This will facilitate the rehabilitation and disposition of an existing transitional housing residence and social services facility. The project site is located in Washington Heights, Manhattan.
The Economic Development Corporation and Kingsbridge 230th LLC submitted an application for an amendment to the City Map, which would eliminate, discontinue and close Kimberley Place in the Bronx. This will facilitate the development of a retail center in the Kingsbridge neighborhood near that area. The applications, C 090146 ZMX and C 090147 PPX, are being considered concurrently with this application.
Kingsbridge 230th LLC and the Economic Development Corporation submitted an application for an amendment to the Zoning Map, which would change and eliminate districts in the Kingsbridge neighborhood of the Bronx. This will facilitate the development of a retail center in the area. The applications, C 080014 MMX and C 090147 PPX, are being considered concurrently with this application.
