During 2012, DEP released design standards for green infrastructure, promulgated new stormwater performance standards for new development and substantial redevelopment, completed construction of the first neighborhood demonstration area in East New York, oversaw the completion of grant projects at the Brooklyn Navy Yard and Queens College, initiated construction on area-wide contracts for the Flushing Bay and Bronx River drainage areas, and much more.
