In compliance with Local Law 44 of 2013 passed by the New York City Council, ACS posts an annual report of child abuse allegations for Detention, Non-Secure Placement and Limited Secure Placement.
The report provides an update on the implementation of the 32 initiatives announced by the NYC Domestic Violence Task Force in May 2017. The goal of the initiatives was to reduce violence, enhance the safety and well-being of domestic violence survivors, and hold abusive partners accountable.
Report draws from a wide range of data to offer a comprehensive review of the money that the criminal justice system takes from people accused or convicted of crimes. Analysis of this data reveals the harsh collateral consequences of failing to pay at each stage of criminal justice involvement.
