The Department of Health has emphasized that accurate and complete reporting of occurences is essential if New York Patient Occurrence and Tracking System is to accomplish its goal of
improving quality of care. Without the fullest possible reporting, hospitals cannot identify areas where systemic improvement may be needed nor use the NYPORTS web site to compare their
performance against their peers.
This report, issued by the Department of Citywide Administrative Services, details the Charter Provisional Report of City agencies as of 02/28/09. It lists the number of employees within each agency.
This is the City's Fiscal 2009 Preliminary Mayor's Management Report (PMMR). The report contains information and data tables describing the performance of the City and its agencies during the reporting period. The MMR, mandated by Section 12 of the City Charter and serving as a public report card on City services affecting New Yorkers, is released twice a year (PMMR and MMR). The PMMR provides an early update of how the City is performing four months into the fiscal year, from July through October. The annual MMR, containing additional narrative and charts, is published in September to look at the City's performance for the recently ended fiscal year (July through June), in comparison to annual plans and previous years' performance. Agency submitted date as February 1, 2009.
In this report, the Commission reviewed cases handled by the Department's Borough and Bureau Investigative Units, which are units that investigate the majority of allegations against members of the service that involve less serious misconduct. The Commission found that generally, case dispositions were appropriate and investigators were conducting all of the necessary steps in a timely and thorough manner. The Commission noted areas in which these investigations could be improved and made several recommendations.
In accordance with the CSO Order on Consent (DEC Case No. CO2-20000107-8), the New York City Department of Environmental Protection submits quarterly reports on its actions toward complying with the Order's milestones.
