The City submitted its Proposed Plan to HUD as required on November 15, 2013. However, in December 2013 HUD released temporary submission guidelines which required localities to formulate their Proposed Action Plans based on the actual Congressional appropriations for the given Federal Fiscal Year (FFY14). Since Congress had yet to finalize HUD's FFY14 appropriations, the City was required to withdraw its submitted Action Plan and wait until Congress passed the appropriations bill before re-submitting the Proposed Action Plan.
Forest Lots, LLC submitted an application for an amendment to the City Map, which would establish streets, extinguish a sewer easement, and modify and adjust block dimensions and grades in Brooklyn. This will facilitate the development of a building with housing and retail space in the Bushwick neighborhood of the borough. The applications, C 080322 ZMK and N 110179 ZRK, are being considered concurrently with this application.
Forrest Lots, LLC submitted an application for an amendment to the Zoning Map, which would change and establish districts in Brooklyn. This will facilitate the development of residential-commercial buildings on the blocks bounded by Bushwick Avenue, Flushing Avenue, Evergreen Avenue, Melrose Street, Stanwix Street and Forrest Street in Brooklyn. The applications, N 110179 ZRK and C 070250 MMK, are being considered concurrently with this application.
The Department of Citywide Administrative Services submitted a Notice of Intent to acquire property located at 510 Gates Avenue in Brooklyn. This property will be used as office space for the Department of Probation.
