A report by the City Planning Commission (CPC) regarding an application for an amendment to the City Map filed by the Department of Parks and Recreation in order to consolidate existing park facilities and property into one contiguous 2.3-acre park. The proposed change would eliminate, discontinue, and close a portion of Shakespeare Avenue in the Bronx. The application was later revised to remove State-owned property from the area to be mapped as a park. The request was ultimately approved by CPC.
