Inside the Budget No. 153: Mayor's Housing Plan: Progress to Date; Prospects for Completion
Mayor Michael Bloomberg more than doubled the goal initially set in 2003 for his New Housing Marketplace Plan. The Mayor now aims to create or preserve 165,000 units of affordable housing over 10 years and anticipates spending $7.5 billion to meet the production and preservation goals.
