A report by the City Planning Commission (CPC) regarding an application submitted by the Department of Housing Preservation and Development pursuant to Sections 197-c and 201 of the New York City Charter for a special permit pursuant to Sections 74-681(a)(2) of the Zoning Resolution to allow that portion of the railroad or transit right-of-way which has been permanently discontinued or terminated to be included in the lot area in connection with a proposed mixed use development on property located at 527 Westchester Avenue within the Bronxchester Urban Renewal Area in the Bronx, Community District 1. The request was ultimately approved by CPC subject to various terms and conditions (see Related Actions for all applications filed concurrently with this one).
