Download PDFBy December 2015 $187 million has been spent toward the implementation of green infrastructure in New York City. The Department of Environmental Protection began a Research and Development Program to build on existing monitoring and substantially expand the agency's ability to collect new data. Priority Areas have been identified for planned system improvements. Construction activity has peaked on many right-of-way green infrastructure contracts, with more than 1,000 practices constructed and another 1,500 substantially completed. The DEP initiated design retrofits on over 100 publicly owned properties this year.
