Press Release #15-73: Sweeping in 2017 in Times Square
Every New Year's Eve, revelers gather in Times Square, along with party hats, noisemakers, confetti, paper streamers and other pieces of New Year's joy. As the throngs of celebrants in Times Square begin to disperse after the clock strikes midnight, a small army of Sanitation employees from the New York City Department of Sanitation willsweep in to clean up the aftermath of one of New York's most festive events.
