A report by the City Planning Commission (CPC) regarding an application submitted by the Department of Housing Preservation and Development pursuant to Section 197-c and 201 of the New York City Charter for an amendment of the Zoning Map, Section No. 6c to address out-of-character residential development in the St. Albans and Hollis areas, and to facilitate the development of an eight-story mixed-use building on property located north of East 158th Street between Third Avenue and Brook Avenue, portion of Site 17 of the Melrose Commons Urban Renewal Area in Community District 1, Bronx. The request was ultimately approved by CPC (see C 070506 HAX and C 070507 ZSX for applications filed concurrently with this one).
