Download PDFFrom an audit conducted on the Department of Environmental Protection's (DEP's) implementation of the Citywide Advanced Metering Infrastructure Program for the Automated Meter Readers (AMR), it was found that the AMR database is accurate and secure. However, many meters do not record accurate readings, resulting in inaccurate billing, and the DEP does not have a disaster recovery plan prepared in the event of a failure. Recommendations have been made to address these issues.
