A report by the City Planning Commission (CPC) regarding an application submitted by the Department of Housing Preservation and Development pursuant to Article 16 of the General Municipal Law of New York State and pursuant to Section 197-c of the New York City Charter for the UDAAP designation and project approval of properties located at Mermaid Avenue, Surf Avenue, West 17th Street, West 19th Street, and West 20th Street in Brooklyn, Community District 13. Approval would facilitate the residential and commercial development on properties located within the proposed 19-block Coney Island rezoning area located in this district. The request was ultimately approved by CPC (see Related Actions for all applications filed concurrently with this one).
