The Department of City Planning submitted an application for an amendment of the Zoning Map, which would rezone 220 blocks in Queens. This action will change, eliminate and establish districts in the Laurelton neighborhood of southeast Queens. This will preserve the predominant one- and two-family character and low scale atmosphere of Laurelton, while providing an appropriate area where modest residential growth can occur.
