Clove Lakes Civic Association submitted an application for an amendment of the Zoning Map, which would rezone 20 blocks in Staten Island. This will facilitate the expansion of the Special Hillsides District in the Sunnyside neighborhood of the borough, bordered by Victory Boulevard, Highland Avenue, Howard Avenue and Clove Road. This rezoning will preserve the low-density character of the area by encouraging the pattern of one-family detached homes.
