NYC Government Publication

The Landmarks Preservation Commission designated the Ridgewood Theater Building, located at 55-27 Myrtle Avenue in Queens, as a city landmark. The school was constructed in 1916 and was one of the longest-running movie theaters in the country before its closing in 2008. This designation does not conflict with the Zoning Resolution or any plans for development.
