Press Release #16-59: DSNY Releases 2017 Calendar featuring New York's Strongest
To celebrate the work of New York's Strongest and bring attention to the work done every day to keep the city healthy, safe and clean, the New York City Department of Sanitation has released its 2017 calendar featuring the men and women of the department. This year, the calendar was sponsored by the Municipal Credit Union, who is generously providing a calendar for every Sanitation employee. The calendar will also be available for purchase at the New York CityStore at 1 Centre Street. We're pleased to be able to showcase some of New York's Strongest on these beautifully designed calendars. All too often, these essential workers are invisible to the public, even as they work to collect tons of trash and recycling, sweep city streets, keep our fleet of vehicles moving and enforce our laws. This calendar puts a face on these vital workers, said Sanitation Commissioner Kathryn Garcia.
