The Landmarks Preservation Commission designated the former Jamaica Savings Bank, located on the south side of Jamaica Avenue in Queens, as a city landmark. It was constructed in 1897-1898 and is one of the only examples of Beaux Arts architecture in the borough. This designation does not conflict with the Zoning Resolution or any plans for development.
