Press Release: 17-49 : Commissioner Appoints New First Deputy Commissioner
Steven Costas, a thirty year veteran of the DSNY has been appointed to the position of First Deputy Commissioner. He is the first Hispanic in the DSNY's history to rise through ranks to the first deputy commissioner position.
