The request was ultimately approved by CPC, subject to various terms and conditions.

The Department of Citywide Administrative Services submitted an application for site selection and acqusition of the High Line rail structure and associate easements. It is located between Gansevoort Street, Tenth and Eleventh Avenues, and West 30th Street and will be used as public open space.
