The 2019 Annual Report describes the activities, accomplishments, and future goals of the Commission on Gender Equity and the de Blasio administration with regards to advancing gender equity in New York City.
This report describes the City’s efforts to ensure minority and women-owned businesses have greater access
to public contracting opportunities. The reporting period covers program accomplishments for Fiscal Year
2019 (July 1, 2018 – June 30, 2019). As per the New York City Administrative Code §6-129
Pursuant to Local Law 113 (amending Section 6-129 of the administrative code of the City of New York), the City conducts mandatory trainings for ACCOs and M/WBE Officers to assist officers in pursing the objectives of the Law.
City Charter §1301(1)(b) requires NYCEDC to submit to the NYC Department of Small Business Services an annual report regarding the satisfaction of minority- and women-owned business enterprises goals by recipients of economic development benefits.
The report provides an update on the implementation of the 32 initiatives announced by the NYC Domestic Violence Task Force in May 2017. The goal of the initiatives was to reduce violence, enhance the safety and well-being of domestic violence survivors, and hold abusive partners accountable.
The 2019 annual report of the Mayor’s Office to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence (ENDGBV) provides an overview of the office’s programs, initiatives and policy and training activities. Key programs include the NYC Family Justice Center, the Policy and Training Institute and Outreach unit.
